So when the task is not just changing your LMS but doing it to the tightest deadlines, it’s an even bigger challenge. Here’s how Dynamic approached this exciting project.

A major acute trust changing its LMS provider is a big undertaking you’d assume. But to try and do it inside 10 weeks? Nigh-on impossible? Well, that’s exactly what one NHS trust did when they decided to switch to the Dynamic LMS platform.

Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is a major acute trust employing over 8,500 staff across several sites. It provides a full range of in-patient and community services to the local population in the Wigan Borough and surrounding areas.

Moving LMS for both functionality and better value
With over 300 courses on their old LMS platform and hundreds of thousands of training records to transfer over, a smooth-running project was essential. It became Dynamic’s mission to provide the trust with a seamless transition to their new LMS platform, within 10 weeks. This timescale ensured that the transfer to the Dynamic LMS was completed in March 2024—before the trust’s existing LMS supplier contract expired.
